Latrette Jackson

Meet The Trainer

Hey, I am Latrette Jackson! My love for dogs started when I was young getting my first best friend at 13 years old. Growing up with a dog was challenging at first as it was against doctor’s recommendation due to allergies to dog dander. However the bond we made was strong enough to where eventually the dander didn’t bother me as much, overall the relationship I gain was priceless. Years past and many dogs latter, I joined the military serving in the army I worked close with handlers and the kennel master. The fact that I could actually turn my love for dogs into a career definitely sparked my interest.

As I prepare to exit the military I already knew what my next career choice was, when I got out I Attended Starmark Animal behavior collage to attain my canine behaviorist certification. I then spent the following years gaining as much experience as I could, hundreds of dogs latter I found my self wanting to explore more into the Dog training world and in 2022 I attended American Canine Interdiction, where I certified as both a Working Dog Trainer and Explosive dog handler.

With many years of experience and divining into the many avenues of this exciting field I am still learning and feel it is my responsibility to help all handlers and their dogs reach their highest potential. The knowledge and great people I’ve met on this journey all started with my first dog and the unforgettable bond we had.
